I am a British-born, Sydney-trained Pilates instructor who fell for Pilates over 10 years ago.  I spent most of my teenage years in doing gymnastics and ballet and it was these passions that made me appreciate the human body when it is strong and supportive enough to allow you to move, dance, play sport and simply walk effortlessly and elegantly.  As I grew up and started work in the corporate world of advertising in London I started to suffer from the regular ailments of office life; lower back pain, stiff neck and shoulders and generally not feeling happy with my posture and the strength of my body.  I didn’t simply want to accept this discomfort and so it was at this stage in my life that I discovered the magical benefits of Pilates.  After 5 years in London, practising Pilates for my own personal benefit, I had the desire to learn more.  In 2011 my husband and I moved to Sydney and it’s there where I began my training and where I started my business.

 My teaching style

“The silent assassin” – A very calm voice and demeanour but you will walk away feeling every muscle in your body!  I loved this comment from a few of my regular Clients because this distinguishes me and my style from other teachers.  I want people to feel like they are working and getting results but I don’t want them to feel like they are in a boot camp environment so I guess I deceive them with my calm voice!  I would describe my classes as fast flowing and challenging with particular care taken at the beginning to ensure that Clients are reminded of the fundamentals of Pilates so that they get the most out of each session.  I am not shy about explaining and correcting exercises because I want Clients to understand what they are doing and why so that they can take knowledge away from my classes as well as feeling elegant for the rest of the day.
